An electric guitarist whose inflamed rock blues liks combine funk-fusion grooves with a sophisticated electric jazz phrasing.
He joined the RockEstra label, for his new release “Tales from the wind ”. Included on the guest roster of this recording are: the Grammy nominated and Miles Davis Award winner, guitarist Mike Stern, bassist Alain Caron, saxophonists Bob Franceschini and many other great musicians.
Paolo’s stylistic musical chemistry is printed out on his album which include only original compositions inspired by the contamination between a wide variety of stylistic fields and musical colors as: rock, blues, jazz, funk, latin and ethnic sounds.
The wind is blowing gently over the waves, it moves the clouds along,
and carries with it the whisper of the rain and broad smile of the sun.
Also all the people and all of life come and go with the wind.
These songs too, I’ve heard on the wind.

My first taste of John McLaughlin!!
Gary Husband lends a hand, but the guitar is what shines here, of course. Bass, keys and drums are great, too, of course!
Fusion in the truest sense. Peter Jones

Some of this, like The Spot, is really good, interesting prog. There are a few place where it gets too... mmm... "math by numbers" ... and could do with being a bit more inventive. They don't last long but it's making me a bit wary after such a good start.
The more jazz-like pieces, Voices ... for example, are much better. Peter Jones
